Tom (Lambsfury) Golda's Answer

"For Ever" Tormentor Tom Golda finally addressed Bob K.'s three "for ever" verses pertaining to the "new heavens and earth". From FRL group, message 11768:

GOLDA:  "Bob said: "You asked if I really believe that delusion. I mentioned 3 verses and you call them delusion - Psalm 148:4-6, Psalm 104: 5, Ecclesiastes 1-4".

"No, I didn't call the verses delusion, I called "your interpretation" of them delusion.

The earth "lasts forever and ever and ever" as the New heavens and new earth

Because the Psalms and New Testament says the current earth and heavens will be destroyed by fire.

"But the heavens and the earth, WHICH ARE NOW, by the same word are kept in store, RESERVED unto FIRE against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men" II Peter 3:7

Okay, so Tom says that the earth lasts forever and ever and ever as the NEW heavens and NEW earth. Let's look at Bob's verses again and see which heavens and earth they are referring to.

Ps 148:4-6: Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them "for ever and ever": he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

Now, I would ask Tom: How can the "new" heavens of heavens praise the name of the LORD since they have not been created yet? The passage also states that they "were" created. Past tense. So, current heavens of heavens, not NEW heavens.

Ps 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved "for ever."

The foundations of the earth were laid (past tense), so the foundations support the current earth - not the "new" earth.

Ec 1:4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh:but the earth abideth for ever.

Will one generation pass away and another generation come in the "new earth"? Apparently, 'Yes'. In Tom Golda's delusional mind. Golda can't deal with the "for ever" in verses related to the current heavens and earth, so he has to try to use 2nd Peter 3:10 to suggest that they refer to the new heavens and earth.

2 Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be BURNED UP.

Unfortunately for Tom, 2nd Peter 3:10 does not make Bob's verses applicable to the new heavens and earth.

I would like to remind readers that the above comedy skit from Tom Golda is presented to the Family Radio Listeners' group courtesy of "Doctor" of Theology and Tom's "For Ever" co-tormentor, "Dr." Ken Matto.

Harold Camping is starting to look pretty good right about now.
